Required documents and information

To notify energy companies through Settld or directly, you are likely to need:

  • a scanned copy or clear photograph of the death certificate

  • meter readings for the property, if you can get them

  • the email address, phone number and address of the person who should receive the final statement

  • information about whether the property is owned or rented

Please note, if the next of kin is staying at the property, you will need to provide their full name, contact information (phone and email) and date of birth.
